Ford 1942 Business Coupe

Project update 1998-03-27 Hi this is the first update on the  work on my  42 Coupe Business. I will try to keep you updated on my project on this pages. If you want to know how it started check out this page.

The wheels consist of Firestone ww tires, on old Volvo "sugga" 15" rims. This old Volvo have actually the same bolt pattern as the old Fords
I painted the rim in a green sort of color. I think red is to common and black is dull.

Here I've got a lot of tin back from the sandblaster. And I put a thin coat of paint on them to prevent more rust appearing.
As you can see there will be some welding going on this rear fender. And this is only one part of it , all fenders needs refurbishing of the 2" bottom parts.

Here we have the frame before going of to be blasted (by sand that is). Its in really good shape especially if you think of the state the body was.
The body is waiting to go to the sandblaster. Now it looks quite good. but after sandblasting it will have hundreds of pinholes. But that's the way it is i suppose, and some tin and welding will take care of that.
